In 2008, the second International CareerCross Forum will be held showcasing global companies, recruiters and business schools in one location at the same time.

Before you arrive

Prepare well and make your bilingual career dreams a reality

Like all successful interviews, screenings or applications; preparation is the key. If you seriously want to secure your future and get the most out of the International CareerCross Forum, advanced preparation is essential. Companies will be screening and meeting upwards of 170 candidates* over the two day forum, so be sure to prepare well to stand out from other candidates.

International CareerCross Forum Pre-registration

Pre-registering for the forum is the most important step. By pre-registering on this site, you can take control of your job-hunt by making appointments with HR personnel in advance allowing for participating companies to send you a “scout message.” If you're appointment request is accepted by the company, you will be notified. Then simply turn up to the forum, avoid the crowds and go directly to the companies of your choice for your pre-scheduled interview.
As a special offer for pre-registering candidates, you will also be eligible to win a great prize presented on each forum day.

* Pre-registration is optional. You are more than welcome to show up on the day.

Make a Meeting Appointment

Pre-registered candidates can make appointments in advance to meet with human resource personnel from companies you are interested in. Companies will also be pro-actively utilizing this forum to meet with as many candidates as possible. If you prepare well and impress the right person, you might even be able to land a job on the day!

Participating companies

Preview participating companies and find out as much as you can about who you would like to meet. Companies will continually be added to this site, so be sure to check back often.

English and Japanese Resume

Your resume is your platform to clearly sell your skills and experience. We recommend including information about your skills, employment history and track record of projects you were involved with. Since many foreign capital companies have foreign managers, it would be a big advantage to prepare resumes in both English and Japanese. Bring enough crisp, clean resumes on the day to give to companies you are interested in.

Dress Code

It is always better to over-dress rather than under-dress in this situation. A standard business suit for men and skirt or trousers for women is appropriate. For positions that do not usually require a suit, such as engineers or designers, a jacket is acceptable, but please refrain from wearing casual clothing. Please also wear nice, but comfortable shoes, as the venue is quite big and you may be walking a lot.

Interview Strategies

For experienced, mid-career job hunting, it is important to outline your experience and how you can utilize it in the new position. Discuss things like your required skills, responsibilities, office ambience, company culture, corporate strategies, and refrain from talking about salary until the final stages of the interview process.
