Membership Policy
Membership Policy of the International CareerCross Forum
1. The International CareerCross Forum
The International CareerCross Forum (hereinafter referred to as "CareerCross Forum" or "the forum") operated by C.C. Consulting Co. Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "C.C. Consulting" or "we") is comprised of the forum web site, emails, services and support derived in whole or in part of the forum related services supplied by C.C. Consulting.
2. Membership
(1) All members of CareerCross Forum are eligible to obtain services at the forum. A "Member" is a person who registers at the CareerCross Forum by providing his/her personal and other information (defined in the "Privacy Policy") and who is subsequently accepted as a member by C.C. Consulting. Members will be provided with CareerCross Forum services (hereinafter referred to as "membership service").
(2) Members are assumed to agree to the terms and conditions of this document and our privacy statement at the time of registration.
3. Member Responsibility and Modification of Registered Information
(1) A user must register in order to become a member of the CareerCross Forum.
(2) Each member assumes full responsibility and liability for personal information provided to the CareerCross Forum.
(4) Personal information provided by Members may be edited or deleted at anytime by the Member.
4. Membership Modification and Suspension
(1) Contents and conditions of the membership policy are subject to change at any time without notice.
(2) C.C. Consulting can choose to suspend or terminate the CareerCross Forum membership service one month after notification to its members.
5. Personal Information
Any identifiable information (hereinafter referred to as personally identifiable information or PII; name, postal address, telephone number, email address, business address, educational background, employment history, English and Japanese language level, and current salary shall not be provided to third parties without permission from the information holder; however, C.C. Consulting shall be exempt from this obligation in the following cases:
(1) Cases where a member discloses his/her own Personal Information to certain companies by his/her-self through the functions of the CareerCross Forum or other methods.
(2) Cases where the individual happened to be identified by means of registered information other than PII.
(3) Cases where C.C. Consulting is required to cooperate with a person or a group entrusted by the government or local authorities carrying out procedures in accordance with laws or regulations, and where these procedures would be interrupted by obtaining consent of the use of PII.
(4) Cases where C.C. Consulting is required to provide PII by a court of law, prosecutor's office, police, bar association, consumer affairs bureau, or other authorized institutions.
(5) Cases where a member makes an express request to provide his/her Personal Information to third parties.
(6) Cases where C.C. Consulting reasonably judges the necessity of disclosure to provide services for the member of the information holder.
6. Third Party
Parties or affiliates who are responsible for handling PII within the scope of necessity shall not belong to the third parties mentioned in the preceding articles. (C.C. Consulting shall be responsible for the handling of the PII provided to our affiliates.)
7. Prohibited Matters of Members
In terms of the use of CareerCross Forum, members shall be prohibited to perform the following acts:
(1) Registering false information.
(2) Violating rights of copy, portrait or other intellectual property of other members or third parties.
(3) Infringement of property, privacy, etc. of other members or third parties.
(4) Defamation of other members or third parties.
(5) Violating laws or regulations, or any acts causing law violation.
(6) Instigating or enabling criminal activity.
(7) Offending public order and morals.
(8) Use of information obtained via CareerCross Forum beyond the scope of private use, such as copying, selling, publishing, etc.
(9) Act of distribution of information obtained via CareerCross Forum for commercial purposes.
(10) Any act that interrupts the operation, or damages the credit of CareerCross Forum.
8. Exemption
C.C. Consulting shall not be held responsible for any damages or interruptions to members (mental abuse, interruption of business operations or other detrimental effects including financial loss) arisen from the use of or registration with CareerCross Forum.
9. Secondary Use of Personal Information
Any registered information on the CareerCross Forum, other than PII, shall be made available for secondary use to promote or sell our products. Any copy rights shall belong to C.C. Consulting.
10. Elimination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership without notification in cases where C.C. Consulting deems a member to have violated this policy.
11. Deletion of Registration Information
Members are free to delete their registered information at CareerCross Forum at any time.
12. Modification to Policy
C.C. Consulting reserves the right to modify or revise this policy at any time. Notification of any modifications or revisions shall be made available on the forum web site for one month at which time all members are assumed to have accepted such modifications.
13. Responsibility for Third Parties
C.C. Consulting will not be held liable for any damages to third parties caused by CareerCross Forum members. In cases where a member causes damage to third parties as a result of registering and using the CareerCross Forum, the member accepts full responsibility to resolve any issues.
14. Compensation for Loss
In case a member causes any damages or loss to C.C. Consulting by acting against the membership policy, the member shall be under obligation to compensate us for the damages or loss directly or/and indirectly.
15. Governing Law and Court of Jurisdiction
(1) This membership policy and member services will be governed by the laws of Japan.
(2) Any disputes arising out of the membership policy or member services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Tokyo District Court as court of first instance.
This Policy shall be effective on 20th February, 2008.
